1. Intermediary Status & P2P Connectivity
FindYo.in is a technology Intermediary as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. FindYo does not own, lease, or operate commercial passenger vehicles, nor does it employ drivers.
The platform facilitates peer-to-peer route discovery and coordination between verified corporate professionals traveling along similar commute corridors.
2. Non-Commercial Fuel Cost Sharing
Under the Motor Vehicles Act and applicable transport norms, carpooling on FindYo Pool is strictly conducted on a non-commercial, peer expense-sharing basis:
- Zero Commercial Profit: Commuters contribute strictly to offset actual fuel, charging, and toll expenses incurred during the shared commute.
- Zero Platform Commission: FindYo charges 0% platform commission on direct P2P UPI fuel shares, ensuring 100% of commuter contributions go directly to fuel offset.
- Cap on Daily Rides: Car owners may only offer seats on their genuine daily commute routes (e.g. Home ↔ Office) and are prohibited from operating commercial taxi services.
3. Direct P2P Payments & Legal Platform Disclaimer
FindYo.in operates exclusively as a peer-to-peer (P2P) technology matching platform connecting corporate commuters:
- Direct Peer-to-Peer Transactions: All fuel share payments are conducted directly between users via third-party UPI applications (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM). FindYo.in does not hold, process, escrow, or collect user funds.
- Independent Legal Disclaimer: FindYo.in is not a payment gateway, banking entity, escrow provider, or transportation employer. We are in no way affiliated with payment disputes or financial transfers between users.
- Dispute Resolution: In the event of any payment discrepancy, trip cancellation, or refund request, commuters and host drivers must settle directly with one another. FindYo provides user-reporting tools for community safety enforcement only.
4. Community Standards & Safety
All members must uphold high professional standards:
- Work-Identity Verification: Every member must verify their work email or LinkedIn profile. Misrepresentation results in an immediate permanent ban.
- Driver Obligations: Drivers must possess a valid driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and maintain roadworthy vehicles.
- Zero Tolerance: Zero tolerance for harassment, reckless driving, intoxication, or discrimination of any kind.
5. Grievance Redressal
In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the contact details of the Grievance Officer are:

6. Limitation of Liability & Commute Safe Harbor
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law under Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000 and Indian contract law:
- No Physical Liability: FindYo.in is solely a software matching medium. FindYo is not liable for vehicle accidents, physical injuries, traffic delays, property loss, or interpersonal misconduct during a shared commute.
- Vehicle Fitness & Insurance: Car and bike hosts are solely responsible for keeping valid motor vehicle insurance, registration, driving licenses, and vehicle safety maintenance.
- User Assumption of Risk: Commuters and hosts voluntarily assume all standard risks associated with private road transport and agree that FindYo bears zero pecuniary or legal liability.
7. DPDP Act 2023 Data Privacy Compliance
In accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023:
- Purpose Limitation: User verification data (corporate work email domains, LinkedIn URLs) is processed strictly for identity verification.
- Privacy Protection: Personal contact details (phone numbers, full personal emails) are never published on public search listings or sold to third parties.
